Swine Flu vaccine...Is this joke for India

I live in Pune which is considered to be swine flu capital of India. Currently we are in constant fear of " What will happen now". We can't leave the city and go somewhere as we don't know that it is not going to hit us there. We have learnt to live with this fear.

I just read today that most big countries like USA and UK have ordered bulk vaccines which are available now. Indian government hasn't ordered a single dose of vaccine leave procuring one. We are a country of 1+ Billion people and leave in congested areas. We all know that this disease spreads through contact. Is this not clear to Government of India. We have produced so many
" Brains" but don't we have single health official who should think about getting vaccines at least ordered.

The Indian companies who are developing vaccines are never briefed by government about how much they will need but they got order from Africa, Asian countries....is this thing a joke.

Come on guys , do something.

My Nokia Care experience

I got mixed Nokia Care experience, same like life where you get mixed experience. My wife has a nice Nokia 3310c handset. I gifted her on her last birthday. Few days back suddenly it developed some bad pixels in the display. I tried to find out where are Nokia Care centres available in Pune using normal infomration sources like friends, Just Dial and Nokia website. Just dial provided abosolutly wrong informaion.

Using Nokia Website information i reached the Nokia Care Hadapsar. The centre works from 1000 to 1900 hours and when i reached that at 1030 , i got token number 15. Customer Service executives were pretty slow and were taking around 10-15 minutes per person, I got frustrated and left. Next morning I was there at sharp 1000 hours. The centre opened on time and I got token number 2. After 15 minutes i was sitting opposite to customer care person. She dutifully explained to me that they don't have display available and it will take 4-5 days for display to come. I was given a number and was asked to enquire on 5th May. I enquired and enquired and enquired again. Every time i got the same reply the parcel has left from head office but hasn't reached to them. Come on folks in india you get stuff couriered from Jammu to Kanayakumari 3-4 days( I am talking train route, DHL will do it faster).

At last i decided i will give it a try to other Nokia care centre. The next closest one was near Golibar maidan on Shankar seth road.I had a seating with my Dentist for Route canal treatment and after that i decided to head to Nokia Care. It was quite a straight forward route and i need to ask to only one good riska walla, who told me in terms on traffic signal i have to travel and it was pretty accurate. I took the token and voila in flat 10 minutes i was sitting opposite to customer care person. He wished me good morning and made me feel comfortable. He listened to my issues emapathatically and assured me the job will be done today and asked me to take the seat in waiting area. As i had noting else to do i kept myself busy by watching election results. My name was called in some time and I was delivered my handset with changed display. The whole operation took around 40 minutes and job was very well done. i was asked to provide my feedback on their services whic i provided by filling a feedback form. I left Nokia care very impressed.

I will say Nokia care can work towards maintaining their service standards like they showed on Shankar seth road centre. I also took a photo of tha map displayed in the nokia care centre as i couldn't find that info on google map also.

New Business Ventures

I went to Indore last week to drop my wife and kids for their summer vacation ay my wife's folks place.

I always try to visit Khajrana Ganeshji's temple on my my visit to Indore. This time it was bit different. I have to go walking to Khajrana from my in laws place because of my 'Manuti'. This is something like 11 k.m. and turn out to be an easy task because devotion was involved. My fav prasad shop was closed. I took some prasad and incense sticks from a new shop.

In Khajrana you have to light your incense sticks outside the temple and then after the prayer you have to put them with lots of other sticks.

Here came the twist in the tale.

As I reached there one boy offered me to light my incense sticks from his matchbox. I had my matchbox but as the boy was offering a helping hand i didn't refuse. As soon as incense sticks caught the light, the boy asked me to give him some money as per my wish.

WoW....... I never thought this will be the case. I didn't mind to depart from my beloved one rupee coin( which i eventually gave him) but at the same time i didn't like it.

In a temple where we go to get blessing from the god somebody will come to you pretending to be helping then asking for the money, i simply detest it. But after some time actually started liking the idea. The boy was not bagging, he was earning his money. For a 50 paisa matchbox he may earn something like 50 Rs. This is 5000% profit. Good job.....

On the same day i boarded to train to Pune and reached pune on next day morning. There was a riksha strike in Pune and i have to carry my beg to Bus stand to catch the bus. I read in news paper that there was a group of people who were using their own two and four wheelers to help people reach their places and that also without any payment. But i had a different experience. A person who was on bike approached to me and asked where I want to go. I told him the place and he told me that he can take me there for 100 Rs. Come on folks people should help people in the time of need not looting them. Bus fare is Rs.7 and petrol cost on a very conservative calculation will turn out to be not more then 10 Rs.. The person got some thrashing from me and left. I simply didn't like this Business idea.

Girls …Girls

  1. When a girl says she's sad, but she isn't
crying, it means she's crying in her heart.

  2. When she ignores you after you've done
something wrong, it's best to give her some
time to cool down before touching her heart
    with an apology.

  3. A girl can't find anything to hate about the
guy she loves (which is why it is so hard for
her to 'get over him' after the relationship's
    over.)

  4. If a girl loves a guy, he will always be on
her mind every minute of the day, even though
    she flirts with other guys.

  5. When the guy she likes smiles and stares
deep into her eyes, she will melt.

  6. A girl likes to hear compliments, but usually
not sure how to react to them.

  7. When a particular guy flirts with a girl very
often, a girl would start thinking the guy likes
her. So if you treat a girl just as a friend, go
easy on the smiles and stare ok?

  8. If you don't like a girl who likes you, break
    it to her gently.

  9. If a girl starts avoiding you after you reject
her, leave her alone for a while. If you still
treat her as a friend, talk to her.

  10. Girls enjoy talking about what they feel.
Music, poetry, drawings and writing are ways of
    expressing themselves (which explains why
    most girls like writing journals).

  11. Never tell a girl that she is useless in
    anyway.

  12. Being too serious can turn a girl off.

  13. When the guy she likes calls her for the
first time, the girl may act uninterested during
the call. But as soon as the phone is back on
the hook, she will whoop with joy and
immediately start telephoning her friends to
    spread the news.

  14. A smile means a lot to a girl.

  15. If you like a girl, try making friends with her
first. Let her get to know you.

  16. If a girl says she can't go out with you
because she has to study, leave.

  17. But if she still calls you or expect a call from
    you, stay.

  18. Don't try to guess a girl's feelings. Ask her.

  19. Hearing the words "I love you" is a great
reassurance to a girl that she is beautiful.

  20. After a girl falls in love with a guy, she'll
wonder why she never noticed him before.

  21. If you need tips on how to flirt with a girl,
    read romance stories.

  22. When class pictures come out, a girl would
first check who is standing next to her crush
    before actually looking at herself.

  23. A girl's ex-crush will always be in her
memory, but the guy she loves now stays in
    her heart.

  24. Girls love having fun!

  25. A simple 'Hi' can brighten a girl's day.

  26. A girl's best friends usually know best what
she is feeling and going through.

  27. Girls hate it when a guy pays attention to
them just to get close to their 'prettier' friend.

  28. Love means devotion, caring and
    happiness
to a girl, in that order.

  29. Some girls care about looks, some care
about brains, but ALL girls want a guy who will
    love and care for them.

  30. Girls want nothing more than to feel loved.

Why India still remains a developing country...!!! Who is responsible ......

Old Story:
The Ant works hard in
the withering heat all summer
building its house and   laying up supplies for
the winter.
The Grasshopper thinks
the Ant is a fool and laughs;

Dances; plays the summer away.
Come winter, the Ant is
warm and well fed. The
Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the
cold.

Indian Version:
The Ant works hard in
the withering heat all summer
building its house and  laying up supplies for the
winter.
The Grasshopper thinks
the Ant's a fool and
laughs ; dances ; plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press
conference and demands to know why the Ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and
starving.
NDTV, BBC, CNN show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor Grasshopper is allowed to suffer so? Arundhati Roy stages a
demonstration in front of the  Ant's house. Medha Patkar goes on a
fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter.

Mayawati states this as `injustice' done on Minorities. Amnesty
International  criticize the Indian Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper.

The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance).
Opposition MPs stage a walkout. Left parties call for 'Bengal Bandh' in West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry. CPM in Kerala
immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.

Lalu Prasad allocates one free coach to Grasshoppers on all Indian Railway Trains, aptly named as the 'Grasshopper Rath'. Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the ' Prevention of Terrorism Against
Grasshoppers Act' [POTAGA], with effect  from the beginning of the winter.

Arjun Singh makes 'Special Reservation ' for  Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions  in Government Services.

The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA  and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, it's home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV..

Arundhati Roy calls it ' A Triumph of Justice'.  Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice '.    CPM calls it the ' Revolutionary Resurgence of  the Downtrodden ' The Grasshopper invited to address the UN  General Assembly.

Moral of the Story

    Many years later...
- The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a  multi- billion dollar
company in Silicon Valley,   -100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in India,
    ..
    ..AND
As a result of loosing lot of hard working Ants and  feeding the grasshoppers,

    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
India  still remains a developing country....!!!
